Tradition is going back for more the 300 years and it is one of the oldest Inn’s in the Interlaken area. It is in the Zurschmiede - Family in 5th generations and the Tavern-Law since 1706 obliges us to hospitality and friendship to our guests from all over the world.

We have carefully renovated the rooms and the hotel over the last years and we are proud  that Swiss Tourisme officially recommends our hotel in the category fo one of the ‘Typically Swiss Hotels’.

Our fine Restaurant  Rustica is a very popular place also for the locals,  with most typical dishes like Röschti, Fondue and Raclett aswell as other specialities. The Bärenstübli-Bar  is a the right place to enjoy a local draft Rugenbräu or a glas of wine befor or after dinner and our Pizzeria ‘Mister Chicken’ with it’s affordable prices especially also for families.

The restaurant serves traditional Swiss cuisine and local specialities. The big and varied breakfast buffet gives the right start for the day. The dining room on the first floor is next to a comfortable lounge with a terrace. There are also 2 separate children's playrooms and a outdoor playground.

Our helpful staff at the reception advises about excursions, hiking, biking, sports and adventures. Bikes as well as public transport by bus and train in the surrounding area are free of charge with the hotel's guest card.

Wilderswil is the "flower village" of the Interlaken area, only 3 km from the centre. It is the ideal spot for excursions, hiking, biking and all kinds of summer and winter sports. By train the famous Jungfraujoch and the Schilthorn/Piz Glorie are easily reachable. It is also ideally located for boat trips on Lakes Thun and Brienz.
