The Bedford Village Inn
Bedford, New Hampshire

The Bedford Village Inn was once the site of a working farm built in 1810. Through a multi-million dollar restoration, the original residence became the home of our nationally acclaimed Four Diamond restaurant. The original barn was transformed into fourteen luxury guest suites, which offer the most modern amenities to today’s guests, yet are filled with elegant and charming details. Twin silos from the original property stand sentry to our magnificent Great Hall that soars three stories high and provides the most unique event site in New England. Its huge bay window overlooks an ever-changing seasonal garden.

Around the property elegant gardens feature thousands of color-splashed perennials and the freshest herbs for our kitchen while a wisteria-draped walkway and several gazebos offer dappled shady nooks. Miles of granite walls, ancient oaks and natural plantings further enhance the charm of this 18th century property.

The Bedford Village Inn estate is the perfect site for an overnight retreat, magnificent wedding or an unforgettable dinner to celebrate your special occasion.

Our impressive list of awards and achievements might entice to you to visit the Bedford Village Inn the first time, but our staff, service and food will charm your return.

Dining:
There is one aspect of the Bedford Village Inn’s philosophy that is absolutely rigid and inflexible: To use only the freshest indigenous ingredients in preparing the most exquisite New England regional cuisine. And because these ingredients change with the seasons, our menus also change frequently to take the best advantage of them.

Here are just a morsel or two to anticipate from the kitchens of the Bedford Village Inn: Sautéed double–breaded goat cheese, crispy on the outside, warm in the middle, stuffed with sweet apricots and pine nuts then drizzled with balsamic vinegar and nestled in Mesclun greens with fresh herbs. Then, for an unusual nutty flavor for a main course, savory grain remaining from the beer brewing process makes a specialty dumpling smothered with fresh prawn or lobster. Or perhaps a crisp seared duck brushed with an aged glaze of rum, vanilla beans, molasses and brown sugar. Finally - just say "Chocolate Bag" and you’ll experience The Bedford Village Inn’s signature dessert albeit a difficult choice from among the many fantasy confections on the menu.

Corks Wine Bar:

The Bedford Village Inn has been known for its impressive wine cellar for over 20 years offering 8,000 bottles and 750 labels for both the novice and sophisticated enophile. We’ve created an elegant, unpretentious wine bar worthy of honoring excellence and toasting great wines by the glass or the bottle. Bamboo floors, rich cherry wood paneling, gold flecked cork wallpaper, leather and plush seating, an ultra modern fireplace, and an under-lit onyx bar all combine to create our sophisticated Urban Chic atmosphere.

Certified Sommelier Jon Carnevale oversees the wine program blending the old with the new. A 16 bottle Enomatic cruvinet system from Italy uses argon gas to preserve the delicate flavors of exotic wines not usually found by the glass but offered at Corks by the ounce. And there will always be something new to taste, including special barrel samples, flights and personal blends.

Corks, of course, offers a full bar and beer on tap along with an exceptional menu.

The artwork is as original as the room itself. Acclaimed artist Gerard Puvis from France has created beautiful lithographs using foil wraps from vintage wine bottles to create art forms that are as unique as the process suggests.
