 






| The Captain Lindsey House Inn was built in 1832 and open to the public in 1837 as on of Rockland’s first inns. Nestled among the historic seaport buildings of Rockland Maine, the B&B is a cozy and comfortable retreat that offers modern amenities without losing the grace and charm of the antique furnishings. The inn can accommodate personal or business travel and can your homeport as you discover the best of the Maine coast. Accommodations: Nine air-conditioned rooms offer luxurious beds with European down comforters and pillows, desks, 2 comfortable reading chairs, Wi-Fi, televisions, large bathrooms equipped with hair dryers, fine toiletries, fluffy towels and bathrobes. Newspapers are provided each morning and chocolates are laid upon the pillows in the evenings. Turn-down service is offered. Guests enjoy afternoon baked refreshments with port wine or tea, available fireside or outside in our private walled-in garden. A well-stocked guest pantry is also provided. All of our beds have the finest mattresses topped with thick down pads and covered with 300-thread count sheets, a feather duvet, and lots of pillows. Each large room is equipped with wireless Internet connection, a writing desk, a telephone (local calls are free), a television, two very comfortable upholstered reading chairs. Our bathrooms come equipped with soft terrycloth robes, hair dryers, big fluffy towels, nice amenities and large showers. Two of our bathrooms have bath tubs.
Breakfast: A large English breakfast is served buffet-style every morning. Coffee and teas are up by 7:00 a.m. Guests are treated to a hearty array of homemade granola and cereals, locally-baked breads, muffins, coffee cake, yogurt, breakfast meats, egg dishes, Belgian waffles, fruit compotes, and more. Weddings: A Master Mariner and Notary Public, Capt. Ken Barnes has twenty-five years experience officiating at many marriage ceremonies both at sea and onshore.
We are always available to house wedding parties and even to host a small wedding at our inn (we can accommodate up to 50 people). Captain Ken Barnes can marry you in front of our fireplace in our lovely living room
