The French Manor sits atop Huckleberry Mountain in South Sterling. Pennsylvania, just one and a half miles from the Sterling Inn. As a guest of the French Manor you will enjoy its mountaintop setting. From our spacious veranda, you will survey the beautiful crests and ridges of the northern Pocono Mountains. The French Manor is an elegant country inn unlike any other, secluded and private, like a secret lookout separate from the populace. The French Manor's guestrooms are designed to emphasize both privacy and luxury while maintaining the intimate atmosphere of a country inn. There are four guestrooms and one suite in the main manor building; two fireplace and Jacuzzi suites and two guestrooms in the carriage house; and six new fireplace and Jacuzzi suites with private wrought iron balconies in our La Maisonneuve building. All accommodations have cable television, telephone and modem jack, AC, comfortable sitting/reading area, clock radio, bathrobes, hairdryer and, of course, private bath. The elegant dining room at The French Manor features a 40 foot vaulted ceiling and two massive fireplaces. Request a table near the terrace for a wonderful view of the Pocono Mountains, or a table by the fireplace for later dining. Breakfast in nice weather can be accommodated on the stone veranda. Our gourmet dinner menu features both Classical and Nouvelle French Cuisine. Candlelight dining, culinary expertise, and our pampering staff make each meal a memorable dining experience.

In addition to the beautifully landscaped grounds and serene setting of The French Manor, there are hiking trails, library of books and magazines, 4-diamond Restaurant with pianist on the weekends, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, tobogganing, automatic turn-down service in the evening with Godiva chocolates, and cocktails available on request.

The Inn’s new spa, Le Spa Foret, offers spa treatments from pedicures to romantic couples’ massages are available.
