The house is reminiscent of an antebellum mansion. It is set on seven park-like acres and is complete with the original stables and the original carriage stone in front, as featured in The South Carolina Historical Society Historic Home Tour 2005. Harold and Patricia have a passion for Europe and have chosen to style the home after the manner of a small European guesthouse or "pension" with all continental amenities.
