Perfectly situated, at the entrance to the Luberon, au Thor, 20 minutes from Avignon and the Avignon-TGV station (fast train from Paris) and close to l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the antiques market, this old mill along the river greets its guests amidst the sweet aromas of Provence. The inn proposes 5 rooms, 2 suites and a cottage, comfortable (king-size beds) and welcoming, all enjoys air-conditioning. Each is decorated by Poppy (widow of Pierre Salinger) with a personal and different touch, inspired by colors of Provence. Emmanuel, her son proposes a menu based on the local fresh finds of the market.

Nestled in a small corner of the Sorgue River, surrounded by the fields of the beloved Provence countryside, the house is next to a canal. Behind an old mill turned into a Pierre Salinger Museum is the swimming pool where one can relax in the sun or under the shade of the garden in quietude. Between the canal and the river is an island made for dreaming, planted with fruit trees, and at the end of this little paradise is a dam which is a delight for fly fishermen (river trouts!).

Nicole Poppy Salinger and her son, Emmanuel de Menthon, are proud to greet their guests as personal friends in their B&B. An ideal retreat for those who love tranquility, Provence, nature, music, theatre and antiques.

Accommodations:
La Bastide Rose, bed and breakfast in Provence, offers 2 suites and 5 bedrooms which are comfortable and welcoming, and are either on the ground floor or the second or third floor of the Manor. Each is decorated by Poppy Salinger with a personal and different touch, inspired by colors of Provence, and the best amenities: all have a large bathroom, either with a whirlpool bathtub with wall hung shower, or an Italian large walk-in shower, hair dryer, television, telephone and air-conditionning…
The Lavander and Honeymoon Suite are luxiuriously enticing with their brightness, elegance and decor.

The Cottage of La Bastide Rose is situated next to the Sorgue River. On the ground floor is a large living room with a kitchen corner. On the first floor, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with bathtub and shower.
A private terrace overlooks the river.
The cottage can be rented for either, a week or a weekend or per night with or without services.

Dining:
Emmanuel, the happy and fun loving cook (and also professional clown) of La Bastide Rose offers its guests the discovery of the amazing produces of the Provence farmers, which he selects with delight at the daily markets of the region and turns them into magnificent memories of meals that will not be forgotten. An engineer, in all senses of the word, he has refined his education and knowledge into the love of Provence.

It is also possible to have a luncheon on the terrace or by the pool during the summer months upon request (latest at breakfast time)

Breakfast - La Bastide Rose offers two possibilities to its guests, from 8:30 a.m. To 11 a.m.: A full buffet in the dining room or on the terrace, depending on weather… and a continental breakfast in the room at no extra charge.
Laundry - Washing and ironing is offered at an extra charge.
Transport - La Bastide Rose can guide its guests with car or bus rental and can propose extra services for guided tours and or professional chauffeurs.
Gastronomy - The house Chef can give a precise selection of different culinary restaurants in the region.
Wine tasting - Wine tasting of the neighbouring wine producers is regularly offered atLa Bastide Rose during the apéritif hour, and is commented upon by a professional oenologist. Visits to the different winegrowers can be organised, if desired.
Relaxation - A private massage in the room is available upon request.
