The award-winning Chaa Creek has pioneered natural history travel to Belize since 1981 and is Belize’s premier destination for a wide range of adventures.

The 365-acre nature reserve on the Macal River hosts an internationally recognized Natural History Centre, Butterfly Farm, Rainforest Medicine Trail, miles of trails for walking, birding, mountain biking or horseback riding, a fleet of canoes, exquisite spa, conference centre, and access to Belize’s Maya archaeological sites.

Chaa Creek’s Cottages are set in lush tropical gardens nestled along the riverside in the foothills of the Maya Mountains. The cottage compound, within the Chaa Creek Nature Reserve, provides a perfect compromise between comfort and a true wilderness experience. Each palm-thatched cottage has Mexican tiled floors, large mahogany beds, original artwork and private bathrooms with hot showers. Spacious sundeck verandahs allow guests to view wildlife and interact with nature.

The spa, within easy walking distance of the lodge, will ensure that your body and spirit are in perfect shape to make the most of Belize's numerous attractions.

The relaxed atmosphere at Chaa Creek stimulates you to unwind slowly to the rhythms of nature and enjoy your fascinating new environment in an elegant, yet simple style. Additionally the Macal River Camp features 10 fully screened casitas, each having either two or four comfortable beds and a private sheltered porch. Travelers relax at the verandah bar before enjoying delicious meals at the Chaa Creek restaurant.
