Property Overview:
Nestled high above the
Shenandoah Valley in the Blue Ridge Mountains, less than a
mile from Blue Ridge Parkway milepost 27, is a haven of
natural beauty called the Sugar Tree. Set on twenty-eight
wooded acres at 2800 feet, the Sugar Tree Inn, our
Shenandoah Valley Bed and Breakfast, is a place of rustic
elegance, peace and tranquility.
Our spring blossoms with
trillium, rhododendron, mountain laurel and dogwood; summer
brings brilliant days and cool nights, while fall dazzles
with the yellows, rusts and scarlets of our own hardwood
forest. We are home to woodpeckers and hawks, chipmunks,
raccoons and deer.
Relax from the moment you
arrive. Pick a rocker, or soak in our hot tub and enjoy the
40- mile view while the quiet soothes away your workday
stress. Follow a hummingbird from the porch feeders to the
dogwoods below. As evening falls, enjoy a spectacular
sunset, marvel at the stars as night encompasses the
mountains and then allow the luxurious lodging
accommodations of our Steeles Tavern, VA inn lull you into a
relaxed peaceful slumber.
Accommodations:
Snuggle up beside your very own wood fire... at our award
winning Virginia bed and breakfast.
Enjoy the individual
personality of your room or suite, all with private baths
and chairs by the wood-burning fireplaces; as well as
personally controlled heating/air conditioning. You will
sleep in rustic elegance with comfortable beds and country
quilts.
Some of our B&B accommodations
indulge you further with whirlpool tubs, ceiling fans, VCRs
(and video tapes), separate sitting rooms and outside decks
for relaxing on a sunny afternoon.
Before you turn in, perhaps you
would like to stargaze while relaxing in our hot tub on the
mountainside deck.
Then light your wood fire and
pull up a chair. Dive into a book from our eclectic library
or choose one of our board games to play. When you start to
nod, climb into bed for the unbroken sleep that comes so
effortlessly in the mountains.
When morning comes, leaving
your room will be hard, but our delicious, full country
breakfast that is waiting for you will make it a little
easier.
Our thirteen rooms are divided
between five buildings, each having its own very special
“feel”. We proudly display our buildings on our website. We
know you will find at least one of the rooms at our
Shenandoah Valley Inn impossible to resist!
