Relais & Chateaux Announces New 2010 Members

Hotel St. Germain in Dallas, Texas, is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as a new member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux for 2010. Relais & Châteaux, a collection of the world's finest hotels and gourmet restaurants, announced its newest members at its annual Congress in Biarritz, France. A total of 37 properties have been accepted, bringing the total membership in the travel association to 481 members in 57 countries.

Four additional hotels in North America are joining Relais & Chateaux but Hotel St. Germain is the only Texas property to be invited to join for the roster for 2010. Only one other American property joined the Relais & Chateaux ranks for 2010. New European properties include The Conaught in London.

Zagat Survey of Hotels and Resorts rated Hotel St. Germain as "One of America's Top Hotels," while Town and Country Magazine described it as having "The Most Romantic Hotel Suite."

“This is a great honor,” says Hotel St. Germain proprietor Claire Heymann from Biarritz, “and we are extremely proud to accept it both for our hotel and for the city of Dallas.”

Hotel St. Germain will celebrate this honor in December when they unveil three completely redecorated suites.

Five of the newest Relais & Châteaux members are hotels located in North America: Windham Hill, in West Townshend, Vermont; Trout Point Lodge of Nova Scotia, Canada; Esperanza, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Hôtel St. Germain, in Dallas, Texas; and Sonora Resort in British Columbia, Canada. In addition, current member Hôtel Le Toiny, in St. Barthélemy, Caeibbean, was named a Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux.

In addition to the North American properties, other new Relais & Châteaux members include 17 properties in Europe, two in Africa, five in Asia, one in South America, and one in Australia. Three countries, Hungary, Macao and Taiwan, are newly represented this year. Additionally, four of the 21 members have been awarded the title of Grands Chefs Relais & Châteaux. All members are listed in the newly published 2010 Relais & Châteaux Guide, which has been enhanced this year to include a section dedicated to family travel, highlighting activities for children.
